Launch of Annual Staff Wellness Programme

On behalf of H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang'ata, the Deputy Governor H.E. Stephen Munania officially launched the Annual Staff Wellness Programme at Murang’a Level 5 Hospital. During the event, he also received 20 tablets donated by LCT Africa to support healthcare workers as the County advances the digitization of health services. Organized by the Department of Public Service in partnership with leading health insurance providers, the wellness programme targets over 5,000 County employees and their families. As part of the launch, County staff benefited from free medical check-ups, lifestyle disease screening, and health education sessions covering key areas such as nutrition—promoting a healthier work-life balance. The initiative will extend to a Wellness Week running from 29th July to 2nd August 2025 across all Sub-County hospitals in Murang’a County. This underscores the County Government’s commitment to promoting a healthy workforce for improved service delivery. Present at the Launch: Dr. Winnie Mwangi – CECM, Public Service Edward Mwangi – Chief Officer, Public Service Dr. Florence Kagwaini – Medical Superintendent, MCRH Health practitioners and Murang’a County staff Supporting Partners: Utmost Insurance Brokers | Jubilee Health Insurance | LCT Africa | Health X
